Overview

A ball mill is a horizontal rotating cylinder that grinds crusher product to the size required for beneficiation, classification or further processing.

Main assemblies include the shell, internal liners, grinding balls, feed and discharge systems, support bearings, gearbox and drive. Liners protect the shell and control the lifting trajectory of the media.

Wet mills normally prepare slurry for ore beneficiation, while dry mills produce mineral powder or process materials that must not contact water. Grate-discharge and overflow configurations are available. Actual capacity depends on hardness, feed size, required fineness, ball charge, slurry density and classification.
