Fine Sand Recovery System
The FX Series Fine Sand Recovery System recovers useful fine particles from wash water and other process slurries. A pump, hydrocyclone and dewatering screen separate fine sand from the liquid and discharge a product that is easier to transport and stockpile.
Overview
The FX Series Fine Sand Recovery System captures useful solids from the wastewater or circulating-water stream of a wet sand-processing line. It normally treats the sand-water mixture discharged from wheel or spiral sand washers, wet screens and other washing equipment.
Main components include a slurry tank, slurry pump, one or more hydrocyclones, distribution piping and a dewatering screen with polyurethane panels. The hydrocyclone separates fine sand from water and very fine silt, and the screen removes excess water from the thickened underflow.
The stated 30–650 m³/h range is slurry flow, not dry-sand tonnage. Recovered solids depend on solids concentration, density and particle-size distribution. The system complements rather than replaces the primary washer; final cyclone, pressure, screen and pump settings should be selected from slurry analysis or testing.
